One platform to design, automate and distribute your reports

Mail & Deploy connects to Qlik®, Power BI, data warehouses and SQL databases, generates reports in the formats your recipients work in, and delivers them on a schedule - on-premise, as SaaS, or hybrid.

What the platform does

Four capabilities cover the path from a dashboard to a report in someone's inbox.

Design

Build report templates in a drag-and-drop designer. Reuse corporate Excel, Word and PowerPoint layouts instead of recreating them, and bind every element to live data from your BI platform.

  • Pixel-perfect layouts
  • Reusable templates and blocks
  • Charts, tables and objects from your apps

Automate

Execution tasks run reports on a schedule, on a trigger, or on demand. Conditions decide whether a run happens at all, so recipients only get a report when the data warrants it.

  • Time-based and event-based triggers
  • Conditional execution
  • Parallel execution tasks

Distribute

One template produces a separate, filtered report per recipient. Each output goes to the channel that recipient actually uses - email, a document library, a drive, or a file transfer target.

  • Per-recipient bursting
  • Recipient groups and dynamic lists
  • Multiple channels per task

Self-service

Business users subscribe, adjust filters and download their own reports through a web portal. IT keeps control of templates, sources and permissions.

  • Web portal for end users
  • Role-based permissions
  • On-demand report generation

How a report gets built and delivered

What connects, what comes out, where it goes

A single report can pull a chart from Qlik, a table from Power BI and a figure from Snowflake. Each additional data source is licensed separately.

Data sources

Combine BI apps and raw data in a single report. Each additional data source is licensed separately.

  • Qlik Cloud®
  • Qlik Sense® (Client-Managed)
  • QlikView®
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Snowflake
  • Databricks
  • Google BigQuery
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • PostgreSQL & MySQL
  • Excel & CSV

Output formats

Deliver the file the recipient actually works in.

  • Excel (XLSX, XLS)
  • Word (DOCX)
  • PowerPoint (PPTX)
  • PDF
  • HTML
  • CSV

Delivery channels

Email is the default, not the only option.

  • E-Mail (SMTP)
  • File server
  • FTP / SFTP
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Microsoft Teams
  • OneDrive
  • Dropbox
  • Amazon S3
  • Google Drive
  • Mail & Deploy Hub

Deployment models

The same product, operated where your data governance requires it.

  • On-premise

Install Mail & Deploy in your own datacentre or private cloud. Data stays inside your network, and the server connects to your datasources directly.

  • SaaS

We host and operate the environment. You configure sources, templates and tasks; updates and infrastructure are handled for you.

  • Hybrid

Run the platform in the cloud and keep sensitive sources on-premise, or the other way around. The deployment model can change without rebuilding your reports.

On-premise. Runs inside your own network. The data never leaves your infrastructure.

Compare where the platform, your data sources and the local agent run in each deployment model. On-premise: Runs inside your own network. The data never leaves your infrastructure.SaaS: Hosted and maintained by us. Live in minutes, no infrastructure to provide.Hybrid: We host the platform, an agent in your network reaches the sources that cannot leave it.
